The colon is a part of a body which form the digestive system and there is stored all the material waste. The colon with the rectum forms the large intestine. Sometimes in your colon or rectum are formed some kind of growths on the inner wall of the intestine sometimes they can be benign and in that case they are called polyps or in different cases they can be malignant and in that case is cancer.



When is the case of the benign ones there isn’t a case of life threatening because the polyps do not invade the tissue and it’s not spreading to the other parts of the code and they can be easily remove by your doctor. In some cases if the benign polyps are not removed in time sometimes it can transforms in cancerous cells.


It is believed that most of the colorectal cancer is formed from the non life threatening polyps and in that case the cancer cells can easily navigate to the other important parts of your body like liver or lungs and it can form new types of malignant forms .In this case is called metastasis of the colon cancer and the chances for a complete cure for this type of cancer are very low.

The colon cancer is more frequently on men and it is the third leading cause of cancer in the entirely world more common in the West and very rare in the Africa or Asia.

Causes of the colon cancer. - Colon cancer is not contagious in any kind but in some cases it is hereditary and it can be form from a unhealthy diet with a lot of fats and sometimes from a chronic ulcerative colitis.

Colon cancer and diet - The colon cancer is often encountered in the countries which are known for the bad habits in their diets. For example a high cholesterol diet can easily develop colon cancer of other forms of diseases. So a healthy diet with a lot of vegetables, fruits and high fiber food like whole grain breads and cereals can help reduce the risk of cancer.

Colon cancer and colon polyps - How it is believed that most of the cancer cells develop from colon polyps it is a fact that if you remove the polyps in time you can prevent the cancer form to developing. The polyps develop when chromosomes damage the inner lining of your colon. In some cases the healthy chromosomes help in controlling another cell of growing but when a chromosome is damaged cell growth become uncontrolled resulting more and more growth in your inner colon called polyps. If the polyps are not removed surgically they can become cancer over the years but only if they received extra damage chromosome.
